Michael Dennis Williamson II

CHARLOTTE - A memorial service for Michael Dennis Williamson II, 37, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Williamson died Monday, May 9, 2016. Born on January 6, 1979 in Florence, he was a son of Michael Dennis Williamson and Lynn Jackson Williamson.

After attending the University of South Carolina School of Engineering, Michael received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University. He was the Director of Engineering at DMP Corporation in Rock Hill, SC.

Michael loved traveling and was an avid fisherman. As a USC Alumni, he was a Gamecock fan, as well as a Carolina Panthers fan.

A wonderful father, son and brother, he is survived by his son, Jackson Scott Williamson of Charlotte, NC; parents, Michael and Lynn of Columbia; brother, Dr. Dustin Cole Williamson, of Cary, NC; maternal grandparents, John and Betty Jackson, of Ridgeway; girlfriend, Jennifer Wright of Charlotte; life-long friend, Brent King of Lugoff; and beloved dog, Tanner.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Eunice Williamson.
