Michael Thomas Rose

HORRELL HILL - Michael T. Rose passed to the Church Triumphant on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The funeral service for Mr. Rose will be held 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Living Springs Lutheran Church, 4224 Hard Scrabble Road, Columbia, with Pastor Eric Fink officiating. A family burial will follow the service at Brown’s Chapel Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home Northeast Chapel is assisting the family.

Born in Columbia, Michael was the son of the late David L. and Carolyn Baker Rose. He was a loving husband, son and brother. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Michael was a talented artist, bee keeper, pet lover and passionate fan of the Clemson Tigers. His sense of humor and wit lifted the spirits of everyone around him. He loved to make people smile.

Surviving is his wife of 23 years Pamela S. Rose and many loving nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Bobby Yvonne Tyler, brothers, Homer Edward Rose, Jimmy Rowan Rose and nephew, Clint Rose.
