Mary Louise Sharpe

COLUMBIA - Mary Sharpe, 62, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

A native of Columbia, Mary was born February 6, 1958 to Clarence and Dorothy Brown Sharpe. Mary enjoyed bowling, taking care of those whom she loved, making others laugh, dancing and was a great listener and a friend to everyone she met. She will be remembered as a peacemaker and as a great cook.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, William “Bill” L. Sharpe and David Eugene Sharpe; brother-in-laws, Douglas E. Darby and John Cook, III; sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Sharpe; and a nephew, John Cook, IV. Those left to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Melissa Dooley (Michael); five grandchildren, Taylor Burr, Jonathan Burr, Michael Dooley, Noah Dooley and Kaitlyn Dooley; one great-grandchild, Layla Daniels; two sisters, Sylvia Darby and Linda Cook; nieces, Molly Hoopaugh, Brandee Darby, Diana Walker, Candy Harper, Tammy Hall, Wendy Burkett, Jessica Sharpe, and Samantha Crews; and nephews, Douglas Wesley Darby and William Joseph Cook.
