Lola Kayser Thompson

EASTOVER - Lola Addison Thompson, 83, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Ollie Kayser of Yoakum, Texas, and was the widow of Stafford Thompson. Lola was a member of Eason Memorial Baptist Church and retired from the Richland School District after 28 years of service. In addition to her husband, Lola was preceded in death by sons, J.C. Addison, Jr. and Douglas Addison both of Columbia; sisters, Emma Clark, Neva Warm, and Frances McFarland all of Texas; and two brothers, Charles Kayser of California and Earl Kayser of England. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Addison of West Columbia; daughter, Deborah Lambert (Tommy) of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Karen Addison of Columbia; sister, Dottie Mae Tole of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Eason Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her church, Eason Memorial Baptist Church, 201 Vanboklen Avenue, Eastover, SC 29044.
