Lisa Dent

IRMO – Funeral services for Lisa Lynn Minick Dent, 44, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo with Rev. John Evans and Rev. Mallory Forte officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia on Leesburg Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel.

Born in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of John W. Minick and Linda K. Minick. She leaves behind her husband, Eric Dent and her two beloved twin children, Andrew Wilkie and Caison Kerns Dent. Additional survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Jeanette Minick; nieces, Shannon and Maggie Minick and mother and father-in-law, Carroll and Richard Dent.

Lisa was a 1987 Richland Northeast graduate and attended Coastal Carolina University. Her work included 15 years within the engineering and construction design field where she was employed by LPA Group and US Group until leaving to be at home with her children.

Lisa lost her battle with complications from pneumonia on Sunday, May 26, 2013. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend with a generous heart and always offered a helping hand to anyone that knew her. Her love will continue to live on in those closest to her and always in her two children whom she loved and adored with all her heart. She will be forever missed.

The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Lexington Medical Center ICU and their team of doctors and nurses for their unrelenting care and support throughout her illness.
