Lindy Bouknight

COLUMBIA - Lindy Bouknight, 95, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born in Lexington, SC to Joel and Della Bouknight. Lindy was a graduate of Columbia High School and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was self-emploved for 50 years restoring antique furniture and building antique reproductions. He was a loving and devoted husband and dad.

He was pre-deceased by Mary, his wife of 67 years; siblings, Erby Bouknight, Carroll Bouknight, Vernetta Sipes-Higgins and Clyde Bouknight. He is survived by his sons, Lynn Bouknight (Judy), Ron Bouknight (Debbie), and Gary Bouknight; his daughters, Dolores Clark (Larry), Rose Underwood (Joe) and Lisa Bouknight; brothers, Herman Bouknight and Dwight Bouknight (Linda); and sister Ellie Talbert; Grandchildren, Jonathan Bouknight, Kelsey Underwood, Savannah Underwood, Ben Turner (Sarah), Larry Frank Clark, Garrett Clark; and Step-Great-Grandchildren, Maya, Gage and Cade Turner.

The family would like to thank Wildewood Downs and Amedisys Hospice for their care and compassion, as well as Dr. John Gould, Dr. Rodney Rhinehart, Dr. Beau Bryan, and Dr. Bryan Wingate for their care over the years.

A visitation will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, 3926 Devine St. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd., on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
