Kathryn Mildred Taylor

Kathryn passed peacefully away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Born in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Thomas and Susan Giordano Faiella. After completing business school where she trained as a professional secretary she worked for several companies and retired from the Thermoplastics company.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was considered a “grandmother” to many. She also had many friends and was well loved by all that knew her.

She spent many hours volunteering and teaching the children how to make rosaries.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years John C. Taylor.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Becky Taylor, John M. and Connie Taylor: grandchildren, Justin, John Michael and Laura; great-grandchildren, Austin and Madison Lia.

A visitation for Kathryn will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 4219 Hard Scrabble Rd, Columbia, South Carolina 29223. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 100 Polo Rd, Columbia, South Carolina 29223. A place of rest will occur at St. Joseph Church Columbarium.
