Mr. Joseph Yacoub Younan

A Funeral Mass for Joseph Yacoub Younan, 49, of Columbia will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A Rosary Service will begin at 6 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Joseph's memory.

Mr. Younan entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 14, 2010. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon to Yacoub Younan and Marguerite Alaja Younan. Joseph received a Math & Physics Degree from Kilburn College in England, London in 1979, a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of South Carolina in 1985 and a B.S. in Business Management from USC in 1985. Mr. Younan was employed as a Professional Civil Engineer with WK Dickson & Company.

Joseph was a great provider, a loving husband, a loving father to Josie and Jake, and a loving son and brother. He enjoyed vacationing in California and the mountains. Joseph was very active at St. John Neumann Catholic Church and Catholic School. He will certainly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Younan was predeceased by his father, Yacoub Younan.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Kenney Younan; a daughter, Josette Younan; a son, Jacob Younan; his loving mother, Marguerite Alaja Younan; a sister, Tania Danker and her husband Walter of Newtown, PA; two brothers, Jean-Claude Younan and his wife Joy of Columbia, SC and Andre Younan and his wife Paula of Gastonia, NC; and a host of other loving relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
