Mr. Thompson served in the US Air Force for 26 years. He worked at Actafax Copier Service, was a bartender in California and an engineer at Fort Jackson commissary. He loved people, animals, NASCAR, Gamecock football and cooking and adored all his grands and great grands! If you came to his house, you would never leave hungry! He loved his two pets, Simba and Pepper!
Mr. Thompson is survived by his son, Johnny; son, Joey; daughter, Sherri; son, Ricky; daughter, Kerri; son, Travis; nieces, Patricia, Wanda, Karen; nephew, Al; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janet Thompson.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the Thompson residence.
