Helen Delores Hamilton

A Memorial Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, officiated by Father Frei. The family will receive friends and family following the service at the funeral home. A family burial will be held to celebrate her birthday on April 6, 2023 in Byesville, Ohio.

Helen was born April 6, 1934 in Cambridge, Ohio the daughter of Ambrose and Bertha Krupar Yakubisin. She was a 1951 graduate of Byesville High School. Helen was a devoted Air Force wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother great great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, especially Slovakian and Polish food from her heritage and Mexican food that she learned to authentically cook while she was living in Texas. Helen also enjoyed baking wedding cakes. She was a very talented crafter and proud of the times she won at various State Fairs.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister, Mary Hammond. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 70 years, Edward Hamilton; four children, Vikki Aytes, Jane Hallman (Ron), Eddie Hamilton (Sheila), Denise Carr (Rick); sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
