Gary Winston Collins

COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Gary Winston Collins, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Collins entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Born in Nichols, SC, he was a son of the late Gary B. Collins and Mary Ford Collins. He was a 1958 graduate of Floyds High School in Green Sea, SC. After 40 years of service, he retired from Ben Satcher Ford in Lexington. He was a member of First Church of God Church. Winston was an avid University of South Carolina sports fan.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Sue Gray Collins; three children, Laura Collins, Gary Winston Collins II (Jeff), and Bryan Collins (Carol Mook); two grandchildren, Lacee Dove (Gary), Robin Shawn Cunningham II; three great-grandchildren, Collin R. Ash, Emmalee R. Dove, and Morgan C. Dove; brother, Darrell “Buddy” Collins (Jane); two sisters, Kaye Bradley and Deanna Simons (Gil); sister-in-law, Dottie Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Thelbert Collins and Dale Collins.
