Esther Ingle

GASTON – Esther Lela Wilson Ingle, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Born on November 8, 1940 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Daisy and Robert Neasbit Wilson, she was a devoted caregiver for 54 years to countless children.

She is survived by her daughter, Renae Casterline (Rex) of Irmo and son, Roy Ingle (Joni) of Lexington. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Karis and Kaleigh Casterline of Irmo and Josiah, Haddon and Levi Ingle of Lexington. She is also survived by two sisters, Estelle Barlow (her twin) of Gaston and Altha Sims of West Columbia and four brothers, Vernon A. Wilson (Vivian) of Chesnee, Wayne L. Wilson (Rachel) of Tryon, NC, Frank N. Wilson (Donna) of West Columbia and David R. Wilson of Inman. Three brothers and a sister predeceased her, Howard, Marvin and Carl Wilson and Avis Griggs. She is also survived by a number of Wilson nieces and nephews, Paul, Gail, Timothy, Jeffrey, Mary Elizabeth, Alicia, Jason, Michael, Lisa, Evelyn, Jerry, John, Roger, Kimberly, Robert, Dave, Chris, Marie, Bryan, Will, Robin, Kayla, Kim and Greg.

The family sincerely thanks the nurses and staff at Agape Hospice House for their loving and expert care Esther received during her brief stay.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2012 at Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 1413 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC.
