Mrs. Gasque passed away on Monday, November 20th, 2023, after a long five-month battle due to complications from open heart surgery. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Codie Odell Phillips and Ruth Elaine Oimoen Phillips. A 1972 graduate of Dreher High School, she also attended Midlands Technical College. She worked for Dodd’s Dime Store, Oxford Industries, Witten Sales, RBMG, and BlueCross BlueShield as a lead accountant. Diane had a keen eye for interior design, a passion that lent itself to those around her. She garnered an interest in florals and gardening from her father; she was also a cheese and chocolate connoisseur, an amateur ornithologist, and a mystery and true crime lover. She had an empathetic resolve to help anybody around her, and what those around her knew best were her tender heart, strong independence, and wit. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, Allard Harrison Gasque; only daughter, Folline Gasque; sisters Deborah Oliver, Leslie (Joe) Wallace, Barbara (Tom) Pietras; brothers Charles and Craig (Sherrie) Phillips of Springfield, Oregon, Carol Gasque; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a close circle of loving friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers David, Richard, Bryan, and Thomas Phillips and her in-laws Thomas and Suzanne Gasque, and brother in-law Thomas E. Gasque.
The family wishes to thank the Lexington Medical Center ICU unit.
