COLUMBIA- Graveside service for Dennis James Katsanis, 59, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Katsanis died Thursday, May 7, 2015. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of Anna Fotiades Katsanis and the late Nicholas George Katsanis. Dennis was an accomplished musician, playing the guitar and harmonica. Dennis was also a vocalist. He had a band called “Flint Michigan” that recorded an album in 1998. Dennis and his brother Nicholas also played regularly in various clubs in New Jersey and New York, and live on the radio as the “Katsanis Brothers Band.” He was a consultant manager with Katsanis Partner’s Ltd. Dennis was an active volunteer at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by brothers, William Katsanis and Nicholas Katsanis, all of Vero Beach, Fla.
