Deborah Jane Avant Dunlap

She enjoyed the beach, fishing, traveling, horses, and reading. Deborah was a 1972 graduate of Spring Valley High School and was of the Southern Baptist faith. She worked for Richland County Public Library for several years and was employed with Associated Credit Union in Norcross, Georgia for 15 years.

In addition to her mother, Deborah is survived by her daughter, Emily Dunlap Bridwell (Jason) of Stockbridge, Georgia; grandson, Gavin Bridwell of Stockbridge; brothers, Robert A. Avant (Phyllis) of Leesville and James Walker “J.W.” Avant of Lugoff; two aunts, Grace Helen Mock and family of Newington, Georgia and Gussie B. Avant and family of Florence. In addition to her father, she is predeceased by her uncle, Alvin Jackson Mock.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
