David Edward Cornwell Jr.

David was born on September 30, 1972 in Columbia. He was a loving husband, stepfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. David’s heart was his wife, Susan, whom he loved more than anything. His passion was helping others and enjoying nature, especially hunting and farming. David was a humble, gentle and quiet man with a heart of gold. He always put the needs of others before his own, even during his last days.

David is survived by his wife, Susan Cornwell of Williston; his stepdaughter, Mary-Louise Byrd of Wagener; his mother, Linda Cornwell of Wagener; his brother, Charles Cornwell of Wagener; two nieces, Charleigh and Cassandra Cornwell and one nephew, Dillon Cornwell.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at the family farm. Honorary pallbearer will be his best friend, Steve O’Malley. The family requests that the dress be very casual as the service will be at the family farm. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
