Dan Seymour Lanigan

EASTOVER-Funeral services for Dan S. Lanigan, 69, who passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, with Reverend Tim Driggers officiating. Burial will follow in Congaree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dan was born October 28, 1949 in Columbia to Colie and Margie Golden Lanigan. Dan was a faithful member and Deacon at Congaree Baptist Church. He retired in 1991 from Norfolk Southern Railroad where he served as a Track Foreman. Dan enjoyed the simple things in life. He had a big heart full of kindness and that will be the reason he is remembered as a loyal friend, wonderful husband, amazing father and an adoring grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister, JoAnn Lanigan Lucas; brothers, Pete Lanigan and Walter “Bookie” Lanigan. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Faye Driggers Lanigan; sons, Matt Lanigan (Courtney), Cole Lanigan (Amanda); five grandchildren, Breelyn, Coleman, Camden, Kodiak, Willow; sisters, Bonnie Rye and Elsie Graham.
