Charlie Thomas, 69, beloved husband of Wendy Sellers Thomas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born September 17, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama, he grew up in Miami, Florida, where he met the love of his life, Wendy. Charlie will be remembered for his deep love of family, work ethic, dry wit, mastery of organization, and passion for foreign cars. His love of cars extended into his career in the commercial truck sales business.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Wendy; his son, Chris, wife, Rachel, and son, Zachary (5), of Chapel Hill, NC; his daughter Heather, fiancé, David, and son, Jack (2), of Auburn Hills, MI; his sister, Sybil and husband, Ed Macaya, of Birmingham, AL; sister-in-law, Sherry Marvin-Hughes and husband, Jerry, of Walterboro, SC; and his nephews and niece.
In celebration of his life, a gathering will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2 Habersham Way, Blythewood, SC 29016.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association or the Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
