COLUMBIA Graveside service for Carol Jones Tanner, 62, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Mrs. Tanner passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Harry Winburn Jones and Mary Shealy Jones. Mrs. Tanner was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia and her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Tanner retired from Dorn VA Medical Center as a Speech Pathologist.
Surviving are her husband, Neil Tanner and daughter, Mary Eliza Tanner. She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry S. Jones and her first husband, Wade Watson.
