Carol was born on February 23, 1948 in Sacramento, CA to William and Margaret Cox. She grew up in Sacramento and graduated from Hiriam Johnson High School. She worked for and retired from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. She enjoyed reading novels, watching documentaries, cooking shows as well as spending time with family.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Champion of Sacramento; son, Jordan Conner (Charlyn) of Sacramento; daughter, Jill Conner of Sacramento and daughter, Jayme Melton of Lexington. Grandchildren include Chelsie Moyer (Luke), Garrett Wright (Lauren), Rowan and Ashlyn Conner, Tate Conner, Tucker and Riley Knight, and Carson Melton. She has two great-grandchildren, Andre and Amelei Moyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Cox; brother, Clifton “Skip” Cox; daughter, Julie Wright and son-in-law, John Melton.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
