GILBERT Mrs. Betty Hutto Gladden, 83, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. An informal visitation with light refreshments will be held from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Masks are optional.
Born in Neeces, S.C., she was a daughter of the late John and Maggie Phillips Hutto. A graduate of Columbia High School, she retired from the S.C. Employment Security Commission following 33 years of service. Known for her wicked sense of humor and infectious laugh, she was a young at heart spirit who loved to RV across America. Passionate about music, she enjoyed years of studying the organ along with her sister.
Surviving are her husband, George L. Gladden; son Ronald Easler; daughter, Sonya Marie Easler; grandson, Koll Hollen Sloan; sisters, Barbara Kaiser and Johnie Mae Robins.
