Bernard "Bj" Kleinrock

COLUMBIA - Memorial Services for Bernard “B.J.” Kleinrock, 78, (USAF Retired) will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel with full military honors. The family will receive friends after the service.

Mr. Kleinrock was born May 19, 1935 in Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Mary Coughlin Kleinrock. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty five years. His first six years were spent as an enlisted man. He then went on to OCS retiring in 1980 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran for which service he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He also served as a grateful member of Alcoholics Anonymous for thirty one years.

Mr. Kleinrock is survived by his wife, Barbara Kleinrock; sons, Jeffrey Kleinrock and B.J. “Buddy” Kleinrock; daughter, Jennifer Kleinrock and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Alice Levey, Edith Iscovitz and Lewis Kleinrock and his son, Darrell Kleinrock.
