April Joy Pilot Rose was born April 16, 1973. Jesus called her home on December 15, 2022. April entered her eternal home after fighting a long, courageous battle of health issues most of her life. She is now free from her earthly body and present with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
April is survived by her Mama, Faye Pilot; her father, Grover Pilot of Gilbert; one beloved daughter, Hannah Rose; three brothers, Joe Pilot of Leesville, Scott Franklin of Lexington and Ron Franklin of North Carolina. April was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Lisa Pilot Sightler.
Much recognition is given to a very special man, Wyman Sharpe of Lexington, who was the father/Papa that didn’t have to be; a blessing to April, her Mama and Hannah’s daily lives.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Laurel Baptist Church, 2250 Pine Street, West Columbia, SC 29170, conducted by Pastor Steve Kittrell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
