Anna Ruth Hunt Edwards

Anna Ruth Hunt Edwards, 94, of Lexington, SC died Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clifford Hunt and Letha Nobles Hunt. Ms. Edwards was married to the late Leonce Morgan Edwards of Mullins, SC. She retired from the University of South Carolina and worked many years for Dunbar Funeral Home. Ms. Edwards was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington, SC, the Encourages Life Group, Arabi Temple #141, and Daughters of the Nile.

Surviving Ms. Edwards is her daughter, Lisa Edwards, a granddaughter, Jennifer Doble, two great grandsons, Drew and Ryan Settlemyre of Hickory, NC. Also she has one brother, Ruie Hunt and his wife Shirley of Lane Porter, TX, three sisters, Fay Palmari of Spring, TX, Joyce Bellamy of Little River, SC, Nina Kirby of Lexington, SC, Patsy Hinson of Whiteville, NC, and a sister-in-law, C.J. Hunt of Crosby, TX. She also has many nieces and nephews whom she truly adored. Ms. Edwards was predeceased by a daughter, Debora Poovey and a son, David Edwards.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held in the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
