Mrs. Ann Gladden Duncan, 94, died to this life April 9, 2022. Born in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Samuel and Frances Gladden, she called Columbia her home for over 70 years. Throughout her life Ann enjoyed many activities especially painting, antiquing, and travel, as well as her memberships in the Town & Country Garden Club and Palmetto Study Club. Achieving her goal of vacationing in all 50 states was one of her greatest pleasures, sharing many of her travels with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances Coggins (Tommy) and Elizabeth Duncan; grandchildren, Duncan Coggins (Kade) and Cameron Coggins; great granddaughter, Amelia Coggins; and her devoted pup, Rocky.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William H. Duncan, sister Bette McDonald and her nieces Harriet and Karen.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19 in the Eastminster Presbyterian Church courtyard from 4-6 pm. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, April 20 at Elmwood Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home Devine Street Chapel is assisting the family.
