Allen Cardell Bunch

A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Beth McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at Dunbar Funeral Home- Devine Street Chapel.

A Columbia native, Allen was born January 20, 1954 to Cardell and Gwendolyn Allen Bunch. He was a graduate of The University of South Carolina majoring in business. Allen retired as a freight train conductor after a career spanning three railroads, The Southern Railway, Norfolk Southern Corp, and Wisconsin Central Ltd. Prior to the pandemic and when his health allowed he enjoyed attending the Retired Railroad Workers luncheons.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Kenneth I. Kendall, Pvt. SCNG. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 37 years, Pat Bunch; daughters, Karen Bunch (Rick), Kathy Buske (Max); three grandchildren, PFC Patrick Bunch, U.S. ARMY, Brandon Buske, Rebecca Buske; a sister, Lyne Bunch and multiple extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
