William Earl Stogner, age 86 of Columbia, MS passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses in Marion County. Mr. Stogner had a deep faith in Christ and was a member of Edna Baptist Church.
Mr. Stogner was preceded in death by his son, Larry Stogner; parents, William “Bud” Stogner and Mary Turnage Stogner; and a grandson, Larry Stogner, Jr. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife, Ann Stogner of Columbia; daughters, Linda Townsend (Jimmy), and Debbie Ashley, both of Columbia; sons, David Baker (Tiffaney) of Andrews, TX, John Baker (Lisa), and Michael Baker (Rebecca), both of Columbia; a brother, Varion Stogner of Columbia; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 on Friday, January 27, 2023, officiated by Reverend Kenny Peavey. Burial will follow at the Stogner Family Cemetery.
