Trina Dawn Powell

Trina Dawn Powell, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the age of 34. She was a lifelong resident of Marion County and graduated from Columbia Academy in 2004. She worked for many years in the restaurant business and most recently at Stacy’s Skillet in Columbia. Trina lived her life by the words of Psalms 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” She will be remembered as a loving mother who was devoted to her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Sue Powell. Trina is survived by three sons, Braxton Powell, Haygon Parkman, and Lincoln Powell; three sisters, Tanya Rogers, Lela Moody and husband, Mark, and Lisa McNabb and husband, Scott; three brothers, Gannon Rogers and wife, Judy, Tommy Roy Powell and wife, Jamie, and Joey Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside funeral service at 11:00am of Friday, May 1, 2020 in Society Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the graveside from 10:30am until service time. Burial will follow at the conclusion of the service.
