Tommy Anthony, of Kokomo, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 66. He was born in Tylertown, Mississippi and has been a lifelong resident of Marion County. Tommy worked for many years selling building materials at Ball Hardware, Harry Taylor Building Materials, and Hill Hardware. He was working as a building maintenance supervisor with Marion County when he retired. Tommy was a kind, outgoing person who never met a stranger and was known as a “jack-of-all-trades” who could build or repair anything. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting; but, he loved the time spent with his family. Tommy was devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Martha Jean Anthony. Tommy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Georgia Anthony; a son, Jeff (Selena) Anthony; a granddaughter, Courtney (Ryan) Greenlee; and five great-grandchildren, CJ Batie, Aria Batie, Wayne Greenlee, Peyton Greenlee, and Rylee Greenlee. There will be a visitation for Tommy at Colonial Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Millard Moak, will be in the funeral home chapel at 10:00am on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Burial will follow in Kokomo Community Cemetery assisted by Jason Raynes, Josh Raynes, Scott Raynes, Justin Bates, William Anthony, and Rickie Felder serving as pallbearers.
