Mary Ann Adams, of New Hebron, MS, joined her husband and daughter in Heaven on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the age of 82. She has been a resident of Lawrence County for the past 60 years and worked many years at New Hebron Manufacturing. Mrs. Adams owned and operated the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Silver Creek, MS. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, playing with the grandchildren, and tending to her garden. Mrs. Adams will be remembered for her generosity and the tenderness that she had for those less fortunate. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Adams; a daughter, Sherry Jean Marberry; three brothers, John Bannister, Clifford Bannister, and Joe Bannister; and a granddaughter, Renee Maynard. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Strickland, Teresa Broom and her husband, Raymond, Dot Barnes and her husband, James; five sons, Garry “J.C.” Adams and his wife, Sharon, Jeff Adams and his wife, Dorothy, Tony Adams and his wife, Rita, Larry Adams, and Brian Adams; a sister, Virginia Melton; two brothers, Sammy Bannister and his wife, Patsy, and Jimmy Bannister and his wife, Sue; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019 followed by a 3:00 pm funeral service all at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. There will be a graveside service and burial at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
