Karen Jean “Jeannie” Brumfield, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at the age of 58. She was born in Marion County where she has remained a lifelong resident. Jeannie found enjoyment in many things, including cooking, quilting, working in the yard, and her puppies; however, her greatest joy came from being with her family, especially her grandbabies. She will be remembered as person with the biggest heart who would give to anyone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jody and Ruby Johnson; a brother, Ray Johnson; and a nephew, Timothy Johnson. Jeannie is survived by her husband, Lank Brumfield; three daughters, Amber Hibley and her husband, T.J., Candis Brewer and her husband, Chad, and Melissa Brumfield; a son, Michael Brumfield; a sister, Joan Burge; a brother, Randall Johnson; nine grandchildren, J.T. Hibley, R.D. Hibley, Kaylie Marcotte, Cami Brewer, Kristen Garrett, Taylor Robinette, Chuck Brewer, Cole Brewer, and J.J. Brumfield; and one great-granddaughter, Alice Garrett. There will be a visitation for Jeannie from 10:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Jimmy Johnson, will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Pine Burr Baptist Church Cemetery.
