Joyce Ann Summers, of Sandy Hook, Mississippi, passed away to join her husband in the presence of the Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 76. She was born in Indiana and has been a resident of Marion County for the past ten years. Joyce enjoyed flower gardening, going for walks, and taking care of others. She had a big heart and always saw the best in everyone. Joyce will be remembered for her laugh.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mormie Rodgers; her mother and step-father, Cora and Dewayne Burnette; Her beloved husband, Sammy Summers; a son, Daniel Summers; a grandson, Brandon Guidry; and a great-grandchild, Caynen Woodward. Joyce is survived by four daughters, Mary McFadden, Martha Summers, Barbara Wiggins, and Diane Tharpe (Stanley); two sons, Sammy Summers, Jr. and Joshua Summers; a sister Freida Putney (James); 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grand children.
The funeral services for Joyce will be private.
