James Ronald Green, of Columbia, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the age of 56. He was born in Columbia to Helen and James “Punk” Green where he has remained a lifelong resident. Ronald enjoyed a simple country life and was happiest when he was in the woods hunting or on the water fishing. When he was not pursuing his passions outdoors, Ronald loved being home around his family. He especially love being with his grandchildren and was very exited about the one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Green and Ronald is survived by his daughter, Sierra Parente (Jeremy); his father, James “Punk” Green; two sisters, Donna Dement and Debbie Green; a brother, Lindon Green (Ann); two grandsons, Ethan Parente and Riley Parente; a granddaughter on the way, Daisy Mae Parente; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
There will be a visitation at Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Reverend Dale Broom, will be in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery assisted by Justin Green, Travis Green, Darryl Russell, Tody Dement, Austin Robins, and Charlie Bias serving as pallbearers.
