Heath Wilks, of Columbia, MS, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the age of 41. Heath was a lifelong resident of Columbia and a 1996 graduate of Columbia High School. He earned an associate degree in electronics from Pearl River Community College and has been employed with Country Creek R. V., Farm Bureau, and Wilks Insurance. Heath lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending his time taking flying lessons, skiing, skydiving, riding four wheelers and just driving fast. Though he never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with friends, his greatest passion was for his boys and cherished every moment spent with them. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Raynor Wilks, III; and step-father, Thomas Allen Pittman. Heath is survived by three sons, Parker Wilks, Jackson Wilks, and Landon Wilks; his mother, Barbara Pittman; a grandmother, Margie Chadick; a sister, Stacie Duncan and her husband, David; two brothers, Cory Pittman and Grant Pittman and his wife, Amber; and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2019. The funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in the funeral home chapel officiated by Pastor Jerron Carney. The burial will follow in the New Bunker Hill Cemetery assisted by Tim Chadick, Josh Chadick, Justin Murray, Derik Sinclair, Ryan Gray, and Jeff Polk serving as pallbearers.
