Glenda Broome, age 73 and a resident of Columbia, MS passed away March 23, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with The Myrtles in Columbia. Glenda most enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Broome was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Kent" Broome; parents, Isaac "Ike" Taylor and Pauline Wood Taylor; and brother, William "Bill" Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters, Allison Singley of Hattiesburg, MS, and Tina Robertson (Timothy) of Columbia; a step-daughter, Karen Broome of Columbia; a step-son, Damon Broome of Columbia; her sister, Sharon Sowman; a brother, Lloyd Taylor; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A future private gathering and memorial event is planned.
