Craig Hicks

Craig Hicks, age 66, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a longtime resident of Foxworth, MS and attended Mays Creek Church of God and Jesus Name Apostolic Church. Mr. Hicks proudly served in the US Army and was a career truck driver in the logging industry. He loved his family, adored his mother, and enjoyed long conversations with family and friends.

Mr.Hicks was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Hicks; his son, C.J. Hicks; parents, Otis Hicks and Alice Faye Ard Hicks; and brothers, Adam Hicks, and Michael Hicks.

He is survived by his daughters, Tiffany Pounds (Michael Paul), and Cottia Hicks; sons, Chase Bourn (Amy), and Shaun Bourn (Nina); his companion, Rita Canoy; twelve grandchildren, Madison Moulds, Bailey Moulds, Violet Moulds, Ethan Stogner, Peyton Raynes, Brayden Bourn, Dylan Bourn, Mason Bourn, Alex Roberts, Ian Bourn, Jackson Bourn, and Brody Bourn; and his longtime special friend, Willie Statham.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the funeral home chapel where friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Reverend Carroll Gatlin will officiate and burial will follow at Bedwell Cemetery assisted by Bailey Moulds, Jackson Bourn, Brody Bourn, Brayden Bourn, Shannon Tanner, and Doug Thompson serving as pallbearers.
