Bobby Joe Allen, of Foxworth, Mississippi, passed from this life into God’s presence on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at the age of 80. He was born in Foxworth to Edgar and Dorothy Allen and has remained a lifelong resident of Marion County. Bobby was a hard worker and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking, creating log cabin scenes. He was a member of Pearl River Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maxine Allen of Foxworth; two daughters, Debbie (John) Kihnel of Maggie Valley, NC and Linda (John) Hall of Prentiss, MS; a brother, Glen (Nadean) Allen of Sumrall, MS; two grandchildren, Lindsay (Holden) Herrell of Farragut, TN and Justin (Sarah) Kihnel of Newport, TN; two great-grandchildren, Ava Marie Kihnel and Addie Jayne Kihnel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service, officiated by Brother Harlan Davis, for Bobby will be at Pearl River Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 12:00pm. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until service time. Burial will follow in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
