Billy Holman, age 72 passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence in Kokomo, MS. He was a member of Kokomo Baptist Church, and owned and operated Holman’s Electrical and Plumbing until an automobile accident left him severely injured. Despite his accident, Billy continued to persevere and worked hard at various jobs. He enjoyed classic cars, attending car shows, and “drag racing” in his younger years. Billy was a kindhearted man who would offer help to anyone. He loved his family, and especially supported his grandchildren in all their activities.
Mr. Holman was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Holman; parents, Coy Holman and Ruby Courtney Holman; and brother, Coy Lee Holman. He is survived by his sons, Chris Holman (April), and Gary Holman (Chrissy), both of Kokomo; a sister, Betty Stringer of Carriere, MS; five grandchildren, Christopher Holman, Savannah Moreno; Chaz Holman, Landon Holman, and Jase Holman; and a great-granddaughter, Tegan Yates Holman.
Family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia, MS. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the funeral home chapel where friends may visit one hour prior to service time. Reverend Glenn Nace and Reverend Solomon Evans will officiate and burial will follow at Kokomo Community Cemetery assisted by Christopher Holman, Chaz Holman, Landon Holman, Kenny Alford, Benancio Moreno, and Craig Stringer as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearer, Cameron Stringer.
