Viola Mae Ruttan-Robinson, 90, of Columbia, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center surrounded by her family.
Viola was born on October 17, 1924 in Columbia, Missouri to John and Anna (Smothers) Woolery. She married Clyde A. Ruttan of Columbia, MO on December 25, 1947. He preceded her in death. Viola was of the Methodist faith and attended Wilkes Boulevard Methodist Church. Viola worked in clothing businesses in Columbia and enjoyed traveling. She took great pride and love in caring for family and friends. Later in life, Viola married Robert J. Robinson of Columbia, MO. He also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Stephen Ruttan and his companion, Sharon Raffety of Columbia, MO; her stepchildren; her step-grandchildren; several nephews and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Woolery.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to American Diabetes Society.
