Tom was born October 2, 1944 in Boonville, Missouri to Carmel and Edna (McComas) Ballew, both of whom preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Delores (Cheek) Ballew on January 23, 1971 and of this union three children were born: Tammy Ballew, Susan (Harry) Ballew-Outcalt, and Richard (Rebecca) Ballew. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a house painter for 50 years, and he enjoyed fishing, taking long walks with his dogs, and spending time with his family.
Tom was predeceased by his wife, parents, and brother David.
He is survived by children and their respective spouses; grandchildren, Jordan, Michael, Autumn, Alecia, Thomas, Brandi, Lisa, and Samantha; 3 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 6th, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West in Columbia, with a graveside service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.
