Ruth E. Allen Davis, 95, of Clark, MO peacefully passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Columbia, MO 10 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 with visitation one hour before.
Ruth was born October 26, 1925 to Chester R. and Ethel (Bunch) Swope Allen. She retired from the University of Missouri where she worked in print services. Ruth enjoyed quilting and rock collecting with the Boonslick Trail Quilters Guild and the Central Missouri Rock and Lapidary Club. Ruth was a member of Perche Baptist Church where she kept nursery, taught Sunday School, and sewed for the Easter Pageant.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth Allen, Earlene Allen, and Betty R. Allen; brothers, John C. Allen and Earl C. Allen; children, Evelyn Thomas McCormick, Virginia “Ginger” Davis, Steve Davis, and Ruth Ann Patrick; and grandson, Adam Cory McCormick.
She is survived by her dog “Last Bite” Bella, her Perche Church Family, and four grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Coyote Hill Children’s Home.
