Roger enjoyed eating ice cream, and chewing the fat with friends and family. He also loved tinkering and rebuilding things. Before it closed, Roger loved to go to Heartland and enjoy the Smorgasbord.
Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rose Wood, his father, James Foster Wood, his brothers Gerald Dean, Weldon Aldon, and Francis Ray Wood, and one sister Doris Wood Alexander. He was also preceded in death by one nephew James Francis Wood.
Left to treasure his memory are his four nieces: Beth Lynn Smith, Debbie Kay Ward, Susan Ann Smith of Elberton, Georgia and Cheri Wood of Newville, Wisconsin. He also leaves behind five nephews: Mark Wood of Elberton, Georgia, Ronald Alexander of Independence, Missouri, Randy Wood of Waterloo, Iowa, Gary Wood of Kansas City, Kansas, and Richard Wood of California.
Roger leaves many friends who will cherish his memory.
