Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home of Columbia, Missouri on Saturday, October 5 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The memorial service will be held immediately afterwards with Rev. Debra Presley officiating.
Nancy was born to Lottie and Lewis Berry in Mexico, Missouri on June 30, 1946. After high school, she married Thomas Daniel Stuart of Mexico, Missouri and from that union were born two cherished daughters: Tammy and Jill. Nancy later married James Offutt, who preceded her in death on August 3, 2010. They traveled extensively and spent many winters together in Palm Desert, California.
Nancy was a proud business owner and was able to help countless families in both the Lake of the Ozarks and Mexico communities find their dream home as a realtor and broker. In her free time, she was an avid golfer and member of Columbia’s Country Club of Missouri. She also enjoyed spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks boating and water skiing. She was truly always on the move.
More than anything, family was the center of Nancy’s life. She adored her daughters and her grandchildren, but she held a special place in her heart for her siblings. The Berry siblings have an unbreakable bond that will always remain.
Survivors include her children Tammy (Kent) Scheible, Jill (Randy) Ray, Jeff (Cheryl) Offutt and Kelli (Jim) Fram; grandchildren Will (Hannah) Scheible, Josh (Sara) Scheible, Zachary Scheible, Austin (Olivia) Ray, Parker Ray, Landon Ray, Keegan Offutt, Pierce Offutt, Sophie Offutt, Drew Fram and Will Fram; great-grandson Jackson Robert Scheible; sister Carol (Bob) Winship; brother Loyd (Debbie) Berry; as well as several much-loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her beloved husband Jim, Nancy is preceded in death by a brother, William (Nancy) Berry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or the Alpha-1 Foundation (alpha1.org). At the time of Jim’s passing, he was the longest living survivor of Alpha-1 and was a fierce advocate for those living with the disease.
