Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Funeral Home.
Nancy was born on August 2, 1931 in Boonville, MO the daughter of William A. and Frances L. (Martin) Johnston who preceded her in death. She graduated from Fulton High School and Hannibal Lagrange College in Hannibal where she met her beloved husband Ken. She was married on December 21, 1952 in Fulton, MO to Ken Jones who survives of the home. Nancy retired from State Farm Insurance, but previously worked at a Bank in Washington, DC.
She was member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Bethel Baptist Church in Columbia. She loved to be outdoors & flower gardening and traveling, her favorite travel was to Scotland with Ken. She loved to follow her husband in all of his collecting hobbies. She loved to do count cross stitch and knit. Her most recent loved hobby was to adult color. She was a huge fan of the MU Tigers & St. Louis Cardinals. She also had a lifelong love of coca-cola.
Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her many nieces & nephews. She adored her 3 sisters so much, and loved their time when they could all be together.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Karen Roberts of Columbia, MO; three sisters, Frances Yarbrough, Elizabeth Dunn and Caroline Hanan; five grandchildren, Laura Koppenaal, Stacy Rapp, Andrew Koppenaal, John Roberts and Victoria Weeks and six great grandchildren, Dakota Rapp, Dylan Rapp, Kaylee Roberts, Summer Roberts, Madison Rapp and Hunter Roberts. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Koppenaal.
