Visitation will take place, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with a Graveside Service to follow with the Reverend Chester Heyer officiating. The interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery.
Nancy was born, March 31, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Harry Forbis and Mary (McGinnis) Forbis. Her family moved to Columbia when she was three months old. Nancy was a graduate of Hickman High School, class of 1951. She was united in marriage to her husband Jim, on September 2, 1953 in Silver Spring, Maryland. Nancy was employed in retail for many years at Dean’s Town & Country. She and Jim enjoyed square dancing, camping, canoeing and regular Sunday drives in the country. She enjoyed going out to eat and tending to her flower garden. She was an accomplished Bridge player. She was a member of the King’s Daughters. Nancy was a member of Wilkes Boulevard United Methodist Church since she was three months old. A few years ago she and Jim moved their membership to the Columbia United Church of Christ.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Jim, their daughters: Sherry (Gregory) Miller, Pamela (Bill) Tillotson all of Columbia, her grandchildren, Robin (Aaron) Gray of Columbia, J. D. (Beth) Tillotson of St. Louis, Kristopher Tillotson of Colorado, Megan Miller, Seth (Chelsie) Miller both of Columbia and three great grandchildren Hunter, Dane and Evan Gray. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
