Mary L. Patton

Mary L. Patton, 78, of Ashland, Missouri passed away November 22, 2022. She was born in Audrain County, Missouri on January 25, 1944 and graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, Missouri. After moving to Lee's Summit, MO and Kansas City, MO, she raised her two children while working in customer service with S&S Meat Company and Farmland Industries.

Mary was one of a kind and loved by so many, often playing the "matriarch" of her family. Tending to her siblings, caregiving and generally the "go to" person for family and friends. She enjoyed volunteering at the Voluntary Action Center and Helping Hands Southern Boone. In later years, she lived for her children and grandchildren. Some of her most loved times were watching her grandkids play soccer and volleyball.

She is survived by her son Steve Patton (Alice) of Wildwood, MO, daughter Sherry Patton Royster (Frank) of Charleston, SC, grandchildren Zachary Patton, Madeline Patton and McCartney Royster, brothers William Collins and Michael Collins (Mindy), sister-in-law Mary Collins and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Glen and Lorraine Collins, brothers Ivan, Gene, John and Donald.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia, MO.
