Mary Lou Wolfe

Mary Lou (Mohr) Wolfe, 86, of Columbia, MO passed away on March 26, 2024 at her home. Friends may gather, Saturday, April, 13th, at Memorial Funeral Home from 1-3pm. Private inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In honoring Mary Lou’s love for local sports, everyone is asked to please wear Mizzou, Columbia College, or Saint Louis Cardinals apparel.

She was born on August 8, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to a loving Catholic family. Mary Lou married Duane Wolfe on November 25, 1961 in St. Louis and he preceded her in death. Mary Lou worked at the Columbia Orthopedic Group for 31 years and retired in 2014. She kept the office entertained with her contagious smile and laughter. Mary Lou was an avid sports fan. She and Duane were always enjoying a Mizzou, Columbia College or St. Louis Cardinals ball game.

Mary Lou’s feisty and loving personality will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was always one of the first people to lend a helping hand or offer words of support to those she cared for. Mary Lou is survived by many dear friends and neighbors that considered her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Mary Lou Wolfe’s legacy. She was an avid athletics fan and dedicated supporter of Columbia College Cougar Athletics.
