Martha Ann Manning

On January 5th, Martha Ann Manning, 59, passed into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ and into a place of eternal peace and love. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the McMurry Chapel, Missouri United Methodist Church, 204 S. 9th Street, Columbia, MO. Private burial for family will be Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11:00. Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 West, Columbia, MO.

Martha was born October 19, 1963 to Dr. Roy D. Manning and Margaret Ann (Bills) Manning in Columbia, MO. She attended Columbia Public Schools, Shepard Elementary, Jefferson Junior High and Columbia Hickman, graduating in 1982. She was a talented athlete throughout her school years where she excelled in swimming, tennis and golf, spending many weekends and summers at the Country Club of Missouri and Lake of the Ozarks with her parents and brothers. She attended Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX and attained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating in 1986. Martha remained in Texas until her return to Columbia in 2018.

Martha leaves her mother, Margaret Ann Manning (Columbia), two brothers Roy F. Manning (Karen) of Gladstone, MO and John S. Manning (Lou Anne Gonzales) of Overland Park, KS, two nephews and a niece (Michael, Kathryn, and Connor Manning) and an aunt, Donna Rein (Scottsdale, AZ) in addition to many, many cousins & friends. Martha was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Roy D. Manning (2019).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Columbia United Methodist church in memory of Martha Manning.
