Louise Brian Mitchell

Louise Brian Mitchell, known to most as simply Louise, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2014. At Louise's request, the family will hold a visitation on Saturday, November 22nd from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 23rd at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. Louise was born in Overton, Texas to Homer Wallace Brian and Lucille Amanda Vestal Powell on September 9th, 1941. She bounded into adulthood by attending college at the Lincoln University Nursing School and then went on to enjoy many great adventures in her life. Starting at an early age and continuing throughout, Louise was a great communicator and caregiver; she proved herself to be a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother! Louise lived without fear and faced challenge after challenge, time and again, in spite of serious health issues. Louise was united in marriage to Thomas Mitchell of Fulton on February 27th, 1987 who survives at home. She is also survived by seven children, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Heart Association. The family also wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude to the staff of Boone Hospital who served Louise so well in her final days.
