Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 West in Columbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately afterward in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lois was born in Arkansas, the tenth child to Kenneth and Mary Weable. She married James (Junior) Griffin and had an only child, William (Willie) Griffin.
Puddin loved spending her time with the family, she had many family gatherings at her home, including numerous family reunions throughout the years with all her siblings, nieces and nephews. Her family brought her much joy.
Puddin loved to spend time in the kitchen. In the summer she used to can vegetables from their garden. She enjoyed cooking special meals for many occasions, but she enjoyed baking sweets the most. You could always count on her to have several sweets ready for you if you stopped by. She loved having coffee and cookies every afternoon and often with one of her brothers.
Christmas was her favorite holiday and enjoyed having the family over for Christmas parties. You could always count on having a good time, good food, and going home with some of her homemade fudge she made for everyone.
Puddin was the sweetest and most loving lady. She was always there if you needed anything. She was a fun and lovable grandmother. She was always ready to play dolls, puzzles, and games with her granddaughter as they spent many weekends together when she was younger.
She is survived by her granddaughter Susan (Matt) Kohler of Maryland Heights, Missouri, their son Forrest and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Junior in 1991, and by her son Billy in 2021, and her nine siblings.
